Quietly Rising in Yorkville

Every building begins by clearing the ground it will stand on. In February 2026, The Bedford broke ground at Bedford Road and Davenport. What stood on the corner was taken down, the site was enclosed, and the work of preparing the quiet side of Yorkville began.

Before a single floor could be poured, the ground had to be held. Through the spring, the walls that hold the ground back were set, and the excavation went down four levels below Davenport, to the depth on which the entire building will stand.

The Bedford is taking shape in Yorkville today. With construction now commencing, its architecture, residences and amenities are moving beyond the page and closer to becoming home.

Excavation is complete and the shoring is in. The site has been taken down to its foundation level, the walls that hold the ground back are set, and the crane has stood over Davenport since August. This is the ground beneath 56 residences, in a building already well on its way.
